F.G. from Louisiana writes; this happened on a recent nite hunt. Dogs A, B, C, and D declared treed it that order half mile away. Cast arrives at tree, A, B, C are handled at the tree, D is not at that tree and not heard. Do you minus D's tree points or start the two on D?
Dear F.G. If dog D was never heard from on the way to the tree, he should be minused the 25 tree points and cast should score the tree. If dog D was heard from on the way to the tree, the cast should stop long enough to determine if dog D is in fact treed or running and scored accordingly.
