Welcome to the AKC Coonhound Events Scholarship page. Here at AKC we not only believe in the development in Youth in their particular sport but also their educational development as well. The AKC Coonhound Events Department is currently offering two types of scholarships. We at AKC encourage all Coonhound Youth to apply for the AKC Juniors Showmanship Scholarship Program. Click here to go to the Scholarship Program and fill out the appropriate information. Then send in the application to the American Kennel Club and Coonhound Youth can compete for 1,000 to 5,000 dollars worth of Scholarships.
The other way to receive a scholarship is at the AKC National Youth Championships. By winning one of the top four spots at the National Championships, Coonhound Youth are eligible to receive these scholarships. However all of the scholarships offered by the American Kennel Club are contingent on attending an accredited college or university.
Again we at AKC encourage the development of Coonhound Youth and hope that all AKC registered Coonhound Youth will apply for these scholarship funds.
